Black and White - the popular PC title - is coming to the Nintendo DS and PSP later this year. The games will feature lots of different gameplay modes. Introduced for this game (on top of the normal single-player mode) is Creature Quest and Creature Pen, as well as the ability to pit beast against beast in Creature Battle using the wireless connectivity of the Nintendo DS. There'll also be minigames galore, and lots of awards to unlock.

The game will feature eight unique island environments to control, as well as ten different species of creatures to train and command. Some breeds have never been seen before in the games. The Nintendo DS version will take advantage of touch-screen stylus control where players can train and/or punish their on-screen creature with specific stylus motions. The system's microphone will also be employed for speech recognition, so players can use voice commands to encourage or berate their creature. The PSP game will control in much the same was as the PC version.

Expect the game to hit shelves in early 2006.
