For those who are thinking about buying an Xbox, why not wait and grab yourself ‘The Beast’ Entertainment Pack.
Microsoft yesterday announced plans to release an all new X-Mas Xbox bundle titled ‘The Beast’ Entertainment Pack. ‘The Beast’ Entertainment Pack will feature a Xbox Console, Two Controllers (One being limited edition), 2 games (Brute Force and Midtown Madness 3), a DVD remote control and an introductory two month Xbox Live trial offer. The pack will retail for $399 and will be available from early November. Here is a press release regarding the announcement:
8 October 2003, Sydney – Xbox© today announced an animal of a retail package unveiling ‘The Beast’ Entertainment Pack – a Xmas bundle so over-fed with goodies it literally can’t be kept under wraps.
‘The Beast’ is jam-packed with content including an Xbox console and controller, an additional limited edition second controller, two great games, a DVD remote control and an introductory two month Xbox Live™ trial offer. When bought as ‘The Beast’ Entertainment Pack, consumers will save over $200 based on the RRP of individual products, with the bundle retailing for only $399 RRP.
‘The Beast’ includes two recent Xbox games – Midtown Madness 3 and Brute Force. Brute Force is an action-packed, sci-fi squad based shooter – a must have game for first time Xbox users. Midtown Madness 3 provides gamers with madcap, over-the-top racing and driving excitement in two of the world's most fascinating cities - Paris and Washington, D.C. - delivering the rush and excitement of street racing.
‘The Beast’ pack also includes an introductory two month Xbox Live trial allowing users to test Live for themselves. Xbox Live is the first unified online gaming arena where players can compete against the rest of the world, or meet up with friends to play a huge range of games whilst talking with others in real time via their head set.
As the Xbox console is also able to play DVD movies, Xbox has also included a DVD remote control – so there’s something for the entire family. The inclusion of a limited edition second controller makes it even easier for everyone to play together.
Xbox’s next generation console is experiencing rapid growth and in August passed the one million mark in sales of Xbox games in Australia. Xbox is scheduled to have 300 games in store before Christmas, with 50 of those being live-enabled.
"'The Beast' is such a value-packed bundle that Xbox is sure to be the console of choice this Christmas," says Xbox marketing manager, Richard Hirst.
Catch ‘The Beast’ Entertainment Pack early November from all good retail outlets before they all get away for $399 RRP.
Make sure you have a beastly Xbox Xmas this year!
