Atari Brings Upcoming Peter Pan Motion Picture to the GBA
GBA
A haunting tale of adventure, discovery, and dreams, Peter Pan has thrilled audiences around the world since it premiered on a London stage 100 years ago. The classic story of the boy that wouldn't grow up - and the girl whose family insists that she must - comes to life in a major motion picture and a video game this holiday season.
"We are excited to be releasing this Peter Pan game in time for the holiday release of the motion picture. The game will appeal to everyone who sees the movie or knows the classic tale as they will be able to relive the storyline and, for the first time ever, take part in the action," said Nancy MacIntyre, vice president of marketing for Atari, Inc.
In the Peter Pan game, kids play as the main character, solving puzzles, collecting various items, avoiding threatening obstacles, and sword-fighting with dangerous enemies. Players take part in the action as the storyline unfolds with Peter, Wendy, John, Michael, Tinker Bell, and the Lost Boys, as they try to defeat Captain Hook and his Pirates. The game features scenes from the film and additional pop-up information that help establish the storyline on each level. As Peter Pan, players can run, fly, jump, dive, roll, fight and earn bonus points and extra lives by collecting special objects throughout the game.
