Bad News for Sony
PS3
4th April 2007, 9:42pm
After a seemingly strong PAL region launch for the PS3, GamesIndustry.biz is reporting a dramatic slump in sales of the console in the second week of retail.
Sony has not yet commented on the article, but it has been revealed that the console is suffering an 82 per cent decline in sales after the launch. Keep in mind that in the UK, the PS3 became the country's fastest selling console with around 165, 000 units sold in the first two days of release.
In even more bad news for Sony, Bloomberg.com has reported that the Wii is currently outselling the PS3 by a margin of 2-to-1 in Japan, a region that has generally seen success for the company and its consoles.
More as we have it.
