Battlefield 2 Announced
PC
21st April 2004, 12:12pm
EA and Digital Illusions announced that the development has begun on Battlefield 2. Slated for an Autumn 2005 release on the PC. Players will see a new game engine and will propel players in the realms of modern warfare with the most technologically advance vehicels and weapons systems available. Fight for one of the superpowers being the US, China and the Middle Easy Coalition. 30+ vehicles will be available for use by the player to engage in some serious battles with up to 100 players in the largest online battles. Expect to see detailed and destructible environments with different landscapes of city streets to remote forests. The maps will adjust in scale depending on the number of players in the world to support the ideal vehicle-to-player ration and optimized game play experience.
Some similarities between the PC and PS2 version, but I would say the PC will shine due to the number of online players it will be able to support. Discuss this game further in our forums
