Call of Duty: World at War is built off the Call of Duty 4 engine. That's one good reason to be excited for it. Here's another: cooperative gameplay with four players either locally with splitscreen, or online. Yep, for the first time in the franchise you'll be able to play co-op with your buddies online. Oh, and there are flamethrowers.

Seems the UI etc are being transfered over also - so pretty much anyone who liked COD4 will enjoy COD5 also, the Co-op is a big advantage also, I'm getting very tired of taking it in turns to play COD4 online with mates, 4 mates split screen online will be great!

Yeah, sorry to disappoint you, but as I understand it it's either four players split screen locally or four players on separate screens online. Not multiple people on either end.

I though that after I wrote it, shame.

I'm pumped. I loved 4, I think I'll love this.

And finally my other friends are getting it as well, so it won't just be my copy doing the rounds and occassional 2-4 person deathmatch.
