Cold Winter TO Be Developed Exclusively For Sony PS2
PS2
Los Angeles, CA – December 3, 2003 – Vivendi Universal Games announced today that their espionage-themed first person shooter Cold Winter will be published exclusively for the Sony Playstation 2 Computer Entertainment System. Developed by Birmingham, England-based Swordfish Studios, the title is scheduled to ship worldwide in October of 2004.
Cold Winter is set in a dark world of global espionage, full of international intrigue, action and suspense. This story of disavowed MI-6 agent Andrew Sterling and the mystery of the shadow organization Grey Wings unfolds through 15 single player missions woven into three different story threads. From the dank hopelessness of a Chinese prison, to the exotic beauty of cities like Cairo and Hong Kong, Cold Winter incorporates a variety of distinct and immersive environments that are as gritty as they are beautiful. The game will also support a variety of multiplayer modes.
Players will have access to over 30 real world weapons and gadgets, such as pistols, shotguns and automatic weapons. Cold Winter also incorporates a unique combined items system where the player can create additional weapons, traps and tools by collecting and combining objects in the environment.
