Current Xbox 360 Arcade Discontinued
Xbox 360
4th June 2009, 11:28pm

The grapevine whispers plenty of interesting tidbits when E3 is around, and this one's not terribly huge news but an important step that we're glad to see the Xbox 360 finally take.
The arcade console will no longer come with a memory card. Instead, the new unit will have 512MB of on-board memory. This means gamers that purchase a new arcade console will be able to install the NXE (New Xbox Experience dashboard) and play games that require a hard drive.
The only downside of the new model of Arcade is that it will no longer have the free arcade games. Isn't it ironic? Don't ya think?

So....it's basically a pro with bugger all HD space and no hdmi port?

All Xbox 360's have HDMI these days. Has been since about Sept/Oct last year.
