E3 2004: Gran Turismo 4 Screens
PS2
12th May 2004, 11:14pm
Gamebiz has five screens of Gran Turismo 4 for your viewing. Gran Turismo 4 is to be released this November exclusively on the PS2. Features this time around include a new GT Photo mode and GT Online Mode which should be a hit on PS2 Online. GT Arcade and Career Simulation have been enhanced. GT 4 features authentic racing gameplay which focusses on the cars, the course, race modes and online gameplay. Physics have been redone with a new physics engine and all new AI engine, which will add to the realism of a near realistic driving simulator.
As it seems is industry standard in the racing genre the car characteristics are realistically designed and calculated so that they handle how they would in real life using weight, speed, friction, wind and various other factors. Where to drive? Gamers will get to race on Nurburgring Nordschleife, New York City, the Grand Canyon and plenty more, with environment graphics to be near broadcast quality and vehicles that are highly detailed with light and competitor (Won't they be eating dust???) car reflections on the players car to the leaves on the tree shaking in the wind its that refined.
