E3 2005: Metroid Prime Pinball Details
DS

Even though you might not trust Fuse Games after their disappointing effort with Super Mario Pinball Land, I'm telling you that Metroid Prime Pinball is going to kick some serious plumber behind when it arrives. The game looks awesome. For starters, it makes much more sense that Samus can roll around in a ball that it did Mario. You bat Samus around with flippers (who would have thought) to defeat creatures that appear on the top screen and rack up points. The aim is to finish each stage by battling the monsters or completing objectives. You bounce around super-futuristic environments taking out everything from Space Pirates (uh-oh, Omega's back), to the good old Metroids themselves.
You can unlock weapons like Missiles by progressing through each stage, and then, when you hit Samus into a special slot in the middle of the arena above the exit hole, you can un-morph her and shoot them using the flipper controls at enemies above. You collect artifacts, get Phazon multiball action and battle your old foes. What more do you want?
