EA and Steam: BFF
PC
You now have three less reasons to hate EA.
Firstly, their games are now available on Steam.
Secondly, they have been completely stripped of DRM (sans Steam itself, of course).
Thirdly, they are the same price in Australia as they are in the US.
No jacked up prices here, ala Activision and Call of Duty!
This comes as great news to everyone who wanted to play Spore, Mirror's Edge, Red Alert 3 and Dead Space without the hassle of DRM.
The list of games now available on Steam is:
FIFA Manager - US$39.99 (AUD$58.57*)
Mass Effect - US$29.99 (AUD$43.92*)
Need for Speed: Undrecover - US$39.99 (AUD$58.57*)
Spore - US$49.99 (AUD$73.19*)
Spore: Creepy and Cute Parts Pack - US$19.99 (AUD$29.27*)
The games soon to be available are:
Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3
Dead Space
Mirror's Edge
These have no fixed price or release date as yet.
What are your thoughts on this momentous occasion?
