EA's new IP FaceBreaker has just been announced and is is under development at EA Canada, to be released for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii later this year. "

Created by the same team that developed Fight Night Round 3, FaceBreaker is intended to offer "irreverent fun, immersive gameplay and eye-popping stylized graphics".Laugh out loud as you pummel your opponent with a barrage of blows to the face and watch in satisfaction as your progress is illustrated by real-time facial deformation.
With haymakers, face shots and body blows, wait for the right moment to drop a super punch to make your presence known. I bet I'm not the only person that thought of Punch Out!! when this game was announced. I'd like it to be good. I never was a fan of "real" boxing games.

I've seen screens which definitely remind me of Punch Out!!

Hope they let you use 2 wiimotes though.

Wii version could be cool, as long as they don't mangle the controls. I still love Wii Boxing, however simple it is.

QFT, Wii boxing is great. It should be interesting to see how this game comes along, hopefully EA pull off something nice.
