While there was some initial uncertainty whether it would be refused classification, F.E.A.R. 2 - Project Origin has finally been given an MA15+ rating by the Australian Classification board. This will allow the game to be released uncensored, and as it appears overseas. The game will be released on February 11th, 2009

Awesome!

Though the F.E.A.R expansion was a little more blood and gore then I usually like in my games - hopefully this edition will have scaled it back somewhat (though doubtful).

First one was still the best, great combination of action - horror - and story.

It was better then the expansion IMO - especially so in terms of story and suspence.

Having played the expansion first you may not get as big a thrill out of (can't remember if it gives away the story), but easily one of my fav horror games, the well done bullet-time was just an added bonus.

With that being said - I rented it, clocked it and was happy with that. I only played it through again to get achievements (was going for the *Don't die ever in one full campaign*, got 15mins from the end and blew myself up in a land-mine chainreaction....my neighbour rang me about the language).

So if you can get it under say $50, go for it - if not, rent it.

I finished the first one, and the expansion, but I know a lot of people were pretty ho-hum about it at the time.

Most ppl were just tired of the *bullet-time* bit, which is understandable - was still a great game iwthout it.
