While Final Fantasy IV has been ported a few times to different systems, the last of which was the GBA (haha, remember that thing?), the upcoming DS game is a full-blown remake. The game is noted for introducing many gameplay innovations which became staples of the franchise, including the Active Time Battle system.

This time around, Square Enix has crammed the game with all the modern luxuries we're so used to. Full 3D cutscenes with voiceover. A remixed score by renowned composer Nobuo Uematsu. Touchscreen navigation. Oh, and don't forget local wireless battles.

This is my favourite FF game. I'm importing.

The Prince of Persia does the voice acting for Cecil in this game too, which is awesome. The other voice actors aren't so hot...

It is, it's just cheaper and faster to import.
