After the fairly average console Vietcong games which disappointed many fans of the PC game, Vietcong is back for an all new campaign on PC, simply known at the moment as Vietcong 2.

"The first Vietcong was a big success for us," said Christoph Hartmann, Senior Vice President of Publishing for 2K Games. "Almost two years after its initial release, there are still hundreds of servers and thousands of gamers playing Vietcong all day, every day. With Vietcong 2 we intend to give hardcore fans and newcomers alike an even bigger and better experience."

Vietcong 2 has a brand new 3D engine, accompanied by an all-new single player campaign (of course), new multiplayer modes, and sufficient online play, which is what made the first Vietcong stand out from other war games. 2K Games still promise that Vietcong 2 will present a completely new experience however, so rest assured fans can expect another action-packed thriller, due out late 2005.
