Prince of Persia: Prodigy is the latest game in the series and is currently in development for both the PS3 and Xbox 360. The game features a new Prince of Persia, a thief who stumbles into a forbidden land - a mythical garden of beauty, dominated at its center by a massive tree of life. He encounters Elika, a descendant of the guardians who protect the tree.

Me too, I think it really works quite well.

Got an Arabian Nights flavour. PoP was more fun way way back in the day, I think. The newer ones haven't done much for me.
heh looks like cel-shading almost with that black bordering
high-res zelda?
The combat is different this time round too. Nearly every battle will be a boss battle type of deal, with the prince going up against a big monster, rather than just a series of little skirmishes all throughout, which I think is great. I don't know if I like the generic "magical girl" side kick though. And the story doesn't seem like it will be as beautiful as Sands of Time, but I'll have to wait and see. Hopefully it's delivery will be as magical as Sands was.
