18th October 2003, 1:24pm
Ubisoft, one of the world's largest video games publishers today announced the release of Flipnic. A new fast-paced pinball game for Sony Computer Entertainment's PlayStation2, developed by Sony Computer Entertainment Japan, and will be released in Europe and Australia for the 2003 Christmas season.
"Flipnic is going to revolutionize the Pinball Galaxy! It's a perfect mix between the popular traditional pinball game and new challenges, which will appeal to both pinball gamers & action fans. In addition, it will take much less place than having a real pinball at home in your living-room, and still, it will bring you as much fun!" said Alain Corre, Ubisoft's Managing Director for Europe, Asia Pacific and South America.
The world of Flipnic plunges the players in to a psychedelic world with impressive animations and frantic missions. To unlock all of the pinball tables, players need to complete missions such as destroying UFOs, saving pink flamingos from deadly crocodiles or feeding malicious primates. Gamers will be able to play 4 multiplayer mini-games which include football and basketball tables.
