Free Internet Channel For Wii
Wii

Nintendo has announced that the Internet Channel for the Wii will now be a free download for Wii owners. You can download it from the Wii Shop Channel.
Previously it was available for download at a cost of 500 Nintendo points.
For those unfamiliar, the Internet Channel is basically a customised version of the Opera web browser designed specifically for the Wii console. Users can browse most websites from their couch. As part of the release, the latest version also introduces an update to Adobe Flash, enabling the latest Flash enabled sites to display in the browser.
For those that feel cheated by the purchase of the Internet Channel recently, Nintendo has kindly made up for it. For those users, from late October to late December, they'll be able to download a Virtual Console NES title to the value of 500 Nintendo points for free.
Sliced Comments: Nice move by Nintendo, and it has been generous of them to offer an extra to those that paid for the software.
Reader Comments:
i bought it for like $5 or whatever, but i wont be getting the update since i never use the wii internet channel anyways - it was more a novelty at the time

They should just credit people with the points they spent. That's what they do on LIVE
