We've got some new details on what to expect from Ghostbusters: The Video Game. You'll be taking on the role of a new recruit joining the famous team, and will travel throughout New York City to hunt, fight and capture a range of supernatural baddies. Of course, one of the biggest appeals of the game is that it features the original film cast - Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson - with the middle two writing the script. Some of the ghosts you'll face are based on ideas from the pair that never made it into the original films.

Since this is an official product, you'll be using the official gear to wrangle your prey. Weaken the ghouls with the proton pack's blast beam, and then use the capture beam to maneouvre them into position for the taking. You can use the PKE Meter and Ghost Light to scan your potential victims for weak points, and you can look forward harnessing the power of the tether gun and stasis trap too.

I really hope this game is good too: I love Ghostbusters. The movies are a good medium to work from in making a video game, so if they screw it up it will be very disappointing.
