Guitar Hero Controllers In Retail

Activision Asia Pacific announced on Friday that a limited number of the Guitar Hero SG Controllers (without the game disc) have shipped to retail outlets nationwide for a recommended retail price of AUD$69.95. The additional guitar will enhance the Guitar Hero experience by allowing players to battle it out in two-player mode.

RedOctane, a wholly owned subsidiary of Activision, Inc., and well-known leading creator of video game peripherals, specifically designed the officially licensed Guitar Hero SG Controller, which is a replica of the Gibson SG guitar officially licensed from Gibson Guitar Corporation, for use with Guitar Hero. This sleek, guitar-shaped controller is held just like a real guitar and features five responsive fret buttons, a durable strum bar, a working whammy bar, and stylized START and SELECT buttons that resemble a guitar’s actual volume knobs. Gibson Guitar, the world's favourite guitar company has over one hundred years experience as brand leaders and an artist list consisting of the industry’s greatest guitarists.

'Further good news is that these guitars will be compatible with the upcoming Guitar Hero II, which is due for launch in November.'

A strictly limited number of guitars will be released to the market to satisfy demand and enhance the purchaser's Guitar Hero experience.
