Guitar Hero III - Out of the Frying Pan, Into the Fire

Well, it seems that this isn't Activision's day. Following on from the whole debacle surrounding the Wii version of Guitar Hero 3's mono audio output (something that RJ touched on in his review), which saw Activision announce a free, patched version of the game (for anyone that bought it of course) for 2008, they've now landed themselves in a class-action lawsuit as a result of the issue.
The lawsuit comes from San Diego (only in America, eh?) and it seems to be on the basis of false advertising. They're asking for every little bit of compensation they can, as a result of the box displaying that the game supports Dolby Pro Logic II, despite the fact it clearly doesn't. Whether or not Activision will settle out of court or not is unknown, but it seems likely.
In other Guitar Hero news, Activision has blocked the release of a Rock Band update that would have added support for their Guitar Hero 3 controller. It's reported that the patch was done, dusted and ready to go when Activision stepped in to block it.
