 We missed it by a few days, but February 21st marked the day that the original Legend of Zelda hit the NES (well, Famicom) in Japan. Now one of Nintendo's most popular franchises, Zelda offered a true save feature, a blend of action/RPG gameplay and a theme song that is still memorable today.

Happy birthday.

The latest installment, Twilight Princess is set to hit the Gamecube later this year.
