HD-DVD price drop set for Europe?
Xbox 360
5th September 2007, 1:39pm

At a recent electronics fair in Germany, the HD-DVD consortium has announced that the official RRP for the HD-DVD player for the Xbox 360 will drop to EUR179 (approx. $AUD296), a saving of some EUR20 ($AUD33). This price has yet to be confirmed by Microsoft however.
If this comes through, this puts the HD-DVD addon without a doubt, the cheapest available high definition player at the moment. Expect a price drop for the player here in Australia towards the end of the year (although Sliced Gaming has noticed it remains very thin on the ground here at the moment).
