Lites Out In Hours

Selling faster than the proverbial hotcakes, the DS Lite was all gone in less than a day. Lines stretched around buildings and across streets, according to reports from Japan.

Many stores opened early to handle the crowds, but most stores were sold out before they even opeend. Nintendo had to ship less units than planned due to manufacturing difficulties with the Enamel Navy (damn sexy) and Ice Blue colours; only the Crystal White colour was released. The other two hit next weekend.

Fittingly, many of those camping out for the system were women and older men hoping to snag some non-games or Touch! Generation titles. One university student commented that he doesn't play games, but wants the system so that he can study using the English training software title. Sure, sure.
