Lost Planet movie in the works, costs money

Did you know they are making a Lost Planet movie?

Did you know it was going to cost TWO HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS to make?

I didn't.

Then again, I haven't even played Lost Planet yet, and I've owned it for a month, when I bought it over Steam during that massive new year's sale.

But seriously, two hundred million dollars for a video game movie adaptation, and a game that, while apparently good, wasn't that much of a hit to begin with?

The script is being written by David Hayter, voice of Solid Snake and writer of the X-Men screenplay (the first two, not the shitty third one), so fingers crossed. Toes too.

Spirits Within was pretty decent, actually. People had a problem with it because it wasn't all fanservice related to the games.

That's why we got the filth that is Advent Children.

I watched Spirits Within but can't remember it.

Advent Children really made no sense and bored the shizz out of me, and I used to be a huge FF7 fanboy too.

I agree with Batman, I really enjoyed the FF movie - never played the games, though I know it pretty much had nothing to do with them (kinda like the Doom movie), but I still liked it.

I played Lost Planet on 360 - took me about 20mins before I took it back to the shop and asked for my money back, was one of the worst games I'd played in a long time. Hope the movie is alot better.

I always meant to play Lost Planet 'cause I heard good things but now it's getting so old that I don't really want to play it. Not saying I don't like old games, just old games in this generation have all been bettered.

Yah I said that "was one of the worst games I'd played in a long time" meaning IMO - I've heard nothing but good things about it, but I just didn't enjoy it at all.

I guess I must be one of few that liked both movies. I didn't care that Spirits Within had nothing to do with FF, it was still a great movie imo. As for Advent Children, really well made, great to watch, a bit of a weak tie in with the game. Still great.

i know the ff movie had nothing at all to do with ff, but i thought the story was hella weak - the only good thing about it was the cgi
