Lost Planet to appear in the Big Apple

Video games seem to be taking the road of becoming a giant spectacle: in the past, they've resorted to mainly Internet and TV advertising to sell reach out to their audience. As of late however, we've seen a range of far more ambitious advertising ventures. With that in mind, Capcom have announced that their upcoming epic "Lost Planet" will be appearing on a giant HDTV screen in the heart of New York Square.

A 60-second, "action-packed" trailer will be on display to the public, spreading Capcom's new title to over 40 million people.

"Our goal is to share the incredible Lost Planet experience with as many people as possible. What better way to make an impact than by presenting the game in one of the most recognized and visible spots in the world, during the busiest time of the year" said Charles Bellfield, Vice President of marketing over at Capcom.

I can only begin to imagine how much this must've cost...
