Prepare for your mind to be blown. Mario, in a sports game. Yes, this revolutionary concept is totally not a sequel to the Gamecube's Mario Superstar Baseball. Obviously, the draw of the game comes from the use of the Wii Remote as your bat and to pitch with.

Mario Super Sluggers features multiplayer with up to four people, and includes both the full baseball experience as well as other baseball-themed minigames. There's more than forty playable characters (including, in some events, your Mii), and a single-player adventure mode in which you unlock these characters through challenges.

Of course, this isn't just ordinary baseball. The captains have special powers that give them an edge in certain areas, so you'll need to pick and choose your team carefully. An you can expect some environmental hazards across the various fields. One of the coolest "innovations" is the concept of 'chemistry', where two characters that are known to be buddies in the Mushroom Kingdom work together to pull off some pretty spectacular moves. Oh, and if you're an "experienced gamer", you can attach the nunchuk for "a more advanced gaming experience". We can only assume that by "more advanced gaming experience", they mean letting you control your character's movement.

We have got media for this game coming out of our ears. We've got the logo. We've got a stack of screenshots from the game. We've got character artwork. Plus, we've got a trailer. If you ask for anything else, you'll get a slap.

I can't wait to not play this and ignore it when it comes out!

Mario Cricket, on the other hand, might be worth a shot. See how many beers Donkey Kong can down in between days during a test match! How many text messages can Mario reply to without getting caught by Peach? Will Luigi be Australian of the Year, ignoring all the workaholic doctors and scientists struggling three hundred and sixty five days a year without any funding whatsoever to cure disease in favour of a man who swings a piece of wood at a ball less than one hundred days a year?
