January 6th, 2004 - Datel, the world's leading developer and manufacturer of videogame enhancement products, is proud to release Max TV - the first ever video messaging system for the PlayStation2 console. With Max TV, you can record short video messages and share them with your friends over the internet. Store your video clips on Datel's Max TV server, and download messages recorded by other users.

Max TV is really easy to use. Just follow the on-screen instructions and record messages of up to a minute in length (EyeToy Camera required), then go online using your PS2 broadband connection and share your clips with the world. You can seek out messages sent by specific people, building online communities and making new friends. Or you can browse the uploaded clips by type, looking for soap-box rants, karaoke performances, crazy stunts, clever tricks and much more.

Max TV is an essential purchase for EyeToy Camera users, although you don't need one to be able to view clips and messages recorded by other Max TV users.

"Max TV brings video messaging to the PS2 for the first time, allowing anyone, anywhere, to broadcast to the world direct from their own living room," commented Datel's managing director Michael Connors.

"Behind Max TV's easy-to-use interface is a really powerful and fascinating product," he added. "Once you start browsing other people's video clips, you just can't stop. It's like watching a non-stop reality TV channel where you have full control over what's on the screen."
