Finally some news you have been waiting for regarding Metal Gear Solid for the Nintendo GameCube
Konami has finally shed some light on the Metal Gear Solid title for the Nintendo GameCube. Very little was known, infact all we really knew was that it was coming, and a rumoured name, Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes. Today Konami offically announced the titles name. Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes is being developed by Silicon Knights, famous for their work on Eternal Darkness on the GameCube, which is awesome news for any GameCube fan. The title will feature the same storyline as the original Metal Gear Solid, which appeared on Sony's Playstation a few years back. Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes is currently being developed under the supervision of Konami's Vice President Hideo Kojima and Nintendo's own Shigeru Miyamoto.
“I am tremendously excited to introduce a unique Metal Gear Solid experience to a new audience of gamers as well as collaborate with my mentor in game design, Mr. Miyamoto, on Metal Gear Solid The Twin Snakes for Nintendo GameCube,” says Hideo Kojima, vice president, Konami Computer Entertainment Japan, Inc.
“Mr. Kojima and I have spoken about this project for some time, and I’m excited our ideas have matched so perfectly,” adds Shigeru Miyamoto, senior managing director of Entertainment Analysis and Development Division, Nintendo Co., Ltd. “It’s this shared passion for game creation that has allowed us to collaborate to bring a special Metal Gear project exclusively for Nintendo GameCube.”
Like every title announced recently, look out for Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes at E3.
