There once was a race called the Alimbic who controlled a region far beyond that of the Galactic Federation, called the Alimbic Cluster. One day, thousands of years ago, they simply disappeared. Now, warriors all over the world received telepathic messages originating in the Cluster, telling them that the most powerful weapon of all time was somewhere in the region. Samus is sent to investigate, but there are others vying for this prize too...
We reported at E3 that there were three other bounty hunters in the game. We were wrong. There's six others, but only three have been revealed:
- Noxus - a member of the Vhozon race (**cough** Phazon?? **cough**). He's a bounty hunter because he wants to administer justice to the evildoers of the universe.
- Spire - the last of the Diamont species. Spire searches the universe as a bounty hunter in the hope of finding information about any surviving Diamonts.
- Kanden - a lab experiment gone awry. This killing machine is a bounty hunter purely for the enjoyment of watching creatures die.
