Mexican State Chihuahua Bans/Siezes GRAW2
Xbox 360, PC, PS3
Chihuahua Governor Jose Reyes Baeza Terrazas has ordered today that all copies of Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 be confiscated in his state.
GRAW2 is set in El Paso, Texas and Juarez, Mexico. The game creates a story that Mexicans will rebel against America in 2014 causing mayhem at the border and the need for Ghost Recon teams to eliminate the threat.
Jose Reyes has stated this not only offends Juarez, but also the whole of Mexico, and the game should not be allowed in the country, saying it portrayed Mexicans in Juarez as violent people which is not true.
Sliced Comments: Rumours are spreading that Ubisoft may release a downloadable mission to retrieve copies of GRAW2 from Government buildings in Mexico. We doubt that would happen though. =)
