Microsoft dismisses any Blu-ray addon
Xbox 360
17th May 2007, 7:02pm

Microsoft, in a recent entry on their gaming blog from staff and employees, has denied that they will ever release a Blu-ray player addon. Recent rumours suggested Microsoft was considering offering the device as an alternative to the HD-DVD drive later on if Blu-ray proved more dominant.
So there you have it, Microsoft is 100% committed to HD-DVD format.
Sliced Comments: According to recent sales figures, HD-DVD is still doing quite well overseas, although apparently in Australia Blu-ray currently has the edge. Too early to call either way for a while to come.
