Microsoft Flight Simulator X Announced
PC

The Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas earlier this year was the official announcement of the new Flight Simulator game in production, expected to hit the shelves Christmas 2006. Developed by ACES studio, Flight Simulator X offers the next best thing to piloting dozens of planes in any location around the world.
Flight Simulator X is the 10th game in the series, hence the roman numeral “X”, and will be the best yet. Students around the world have used the Flight Simulator games over the past 25 years as training software when becoming a real life pilot, because of its realism and incredible attention to detail.
Microsoft also announced that there will be an online aspect of Flight Simulator X. With over 24,000 airports located throughout the game, this seems a bit farfetched, but imagine you and your buddy in two helicopters flying down the Gold Coast of Australia, checking out the skyscrapers and the theme parks.
