What's a joke is the $50 price tag of these games that you can get for $20 in-store these days.

Way to doom a service before it even starts!

The price, coupled with the ridiculous per-GB cost of storage on MS's console. I hope nobody wih a 20GB HDD plans on downloading more than two games without forking out $150 for a 60GB HDD. $3 per GB is a joke. That's nearly the same as what you'd pay for an SSD.

Anyone notice the acronym for Games on Demand?

I know MS likes to play, but damn!

There was *alot* of bitching about Steam when it first came out, now how many of you use it to buy games? This is obviously MS looking for another source of income, and I certainly won't be using it. However, I think you're judging it too early - Never underestimate the laziness of the general population.

I don't think I've ever purchased anything off Steam that wasn't on sale. Will be interesting to see how often the GOD games are on sale.

i havent purchased anything off steam at all, pretty much everything on my steam account comes from bonus' from hardware sales and probably the odd hard copy of a game.

The difference being, Steam provides bonuses for buying through them, ie, lower prices, better tools, customised friends lists and server browsers and shit.

GoD simply gives you less product for a higher price on an even more limited storage space.

No Zen, that is one of my issues with the Xbox, everything in/on it *has* to be MS made.

PS3 can swap out for laptop HDDs IIRC.

I think this is kind of cool for everywhere else in the world.
