Microsoft talks up its Xbox 360 Christmas Lineup
Xbox 360

On the eve of the 12 month anniversary of their European launch, Microsoft is currently talking up their extensive line-up for the Xbox 360 this Christmas period. There are now some 160 games now available for the system in Europe and Australia.
As at September 2006, some 6 million Xbox 360 console systems have been sold worldwide, and they are expecting some 10 million by Christmas. The console was also the fastest to reach 5 million consoles sold.
The Xbox Live service is also doing very well, with some 4 million members, and an expected 6 million users by June 2007.
Sliced Comments: I think the 10 million by Christmas seems a tad optimistic, with the strong competition from the Wii console, and PS3 overseas leading up to this competitive period. With console gaming booming and booming over other entertainment sources, it's no real surprise that any new console released is selling in record numbers.
