Mike Rann Announces Michael Atkinson Back As A.G.

South Australian Premier Mike Rann has today announced that Michael Atkinson will be returning to the front bench and reclaiming his Attorney General position after a fall out with John Lawson late yesterday afternoon.

Mr Lawson had a disagreement with Premier Mike Rann over his YouTube election campaign, calling his decision to create the pro-Labor YouTube site “irresponsibly harmful to (the Labor Party) ... and unprofessional propaganda”.

Premier Rann denied the allegations, stating the site encouraged users to debate the pros and cons of his campaign, and it helped to gain interest in politics for the youth of the state.

Michael Atkinson, who strongly opposes the R18+ classification for video games, will resume his seat as South Australia’s Attorney General after the Easter weekend.
