26th October 2006, 5:44pm
Netamin Communication Corp, publishers of Ultimate Baseball Online 2006 today announced that due to high interest from advertisers the company has decided to keep the game free to play, with no subscription fees required. A premium subscription option will still be available for all players, offering leagues and tournaments with cash prizes, player stat keeping, increased experience points for game play and other enhancements.Sliced Comments: Though this game isn't available in Australia, perhaps this is the way of the future for MMOG's. No subscription fee, but instead advertising in games, while you can still go premium for a fee, like TV. It's quite an interesting move, and perhaps it's just a matter of time until we see World of Coca-cola-craft
