Modern Warfare 2 Sets World Record For Day 1 Sales

Guinness World Records have confirmed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 became the most successful entertainment launch of all time when it released on November 10th, 2009. With verified one day sales totalling more than $434 million AUD worldwide, the FPS was the fastest selling entertainment product in its first 24 hours on sale. The game easily broke the Guinness World Record previously set by the launch of Grand Theft Auto IV, which pulled in "only" $335 million AUD in its first day on sale back in 2008. Modern Warfare 2 has since taken in over $1 billion AUD in sales worldwide.
