Details of the new Xbox 360 Controller has been floating around the net for a couple of weeks now, but now we have the Australian specifics.

The controller with the new D-pad will go on sale from November 9th. It comes with an included play and charge kit for AUD$99.95. The kit gives some 25 hours of play per charge.

The new controller is quite similar, except the D-pad can be rotated to pop out the "cross" a bit further if the gamer desires for more d-centric titles (such as fighters).

I've always preferred first party controls, but this isn't a huge deal for me. Don't play any games that use the D-pad. The analogue stick design is changed a bit too... maybe some features from a prototype next-xbox controller?

It comes with play + charge which is normally $34.95, so it's actually cheaper than buying a normal controller as they are $79.95.

I wouldn't pay that either Seems a lot for a bit of plastic and some wireless that is tech at least 5 years old..

E.g. compare to a Logictech Harmony Remote and the complexity of that compared to a game controller.

Logitech Harmony remote = 5 yr old tech too

I don't remember the last time I went to the Logitech website and saw something new.. used to be all the time but they ran out of ideas a few years ago. Hell, the z5500's are still their main speakers!!!!!
