DS Goes Fat Again
DS

Hmm. Many were speculating that Nintendo would hold off on the DSi XL in the West so as to build anticipation for the DS's true successor, rumoured to be hitting at the end of the year (in time for the fifth Pokémon generation). Nevertheless, Nintendo Australia will be the first in the English-speaking world to debut the XL on April 15th, 2010, ahead of Europe and America.
The system has the same basic innards, but comes with bigger screens (93% larger), longer battery life, better sound, and a fatter, more pen-like stylus. You also get some demo games to test out. Obviously aimed at an older audience, the system comes in the more mature colours of burgundy and bronze.
We have contacted Nintendo Australia about the price and will update this article when we hear back.
