Fallout 3 has set record sales during it's first week of launch. Some 4.7 million units of the game were shipped worldwide for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC. Sales topped some $300 million USD.

In the UK and Australia the game was ranked number one across all three of its platforms in the opening week.

eh - Force Unleashed did more than 3 times that, I would have expected this franchise to do better.

Also 4.7 million is huge. I am pretty sure no game has sold 15 million in one week.

Indeed, Fallout 3 has done very well, as you would usually expect from a big name game.
