Fallout 3 Sets Records - Xbox 360, PS3, PC

Fallout 3 has set record sales during it's first week of launch. Some 4.7 million units of the game were shipped worldwide for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC. Sales topped some $300 million USD.

In the UK and Australia the game was ranked number one across all three of its platforms in the opening week.

Bugger it! Thought it was 15m - in that case Fallout HAS done very well, I stand corrected.

Indeed, Fallout 3 has done very well, as you would usually expect from a big name game.

Force Unleashed sold about 1.5 week one not 15. http://www.joystiq.com/2008/09/23/force-unleashed-sells-1-5-million-units-in-a-week/
Also 4.7 million is huge. I am pretty sure no game has sold 15 million in one week.

eh - Force Unleashed did more than 3 times that, I would have expected this franchise to do better.
