Aion Will Have Oceanic Servers - PC
17th September 2009, 12:57pm

The lingering question about whether Aion would cater to local audiences has been answered. The game will have Oceanic servers from launch day. Just look for 'Nezekan' when you pick up the game on September 23rd. It will temporarily say 'West', but that will be changed to reflect its new focus within the first couple of weeks.
It's also worth mentioning that if you've pre-ordered the game, you can pre-select your characters' look and attributes from 5am on the 19th of September, and get a head start actually playing from the same time on the 21st.

Sick, got this ordered on steam, just need the internet on my good computer first.
"The Aion service will be identical, but the Nezekan server will host in-game events during times more convenient for players in that region"
I'm betting "Oceanic" simply means they're be on EST, not locally positioned - meaning nothing for ping.
