SEGA Australia today confirmed that the Classification Review Board has overturned the original decision to refuse classification for Aliens Vs Predator, instead assigning the title an MA15+ rating.
"It is with great pleasure that we announce the success of our appeal. We are particularly proud that the game will be released in it's original entirety, with no content altered or removed whatsoever. This is a big win for Australian gamers. We applaud the Classification Review Board on making a decision that clearly considers the context of the game, and is in line with the modern expectatios of reasonable Australians", Darren Macbeth, Managing Director, SEGA Australia.
The franchise remodelling of the 1994 classic Aliens Vs Predator is set to hit shelves February 18th and will be avaliable on PC, PS3 & Xbox360. SEGA has also released that the title will ship in three seperate editions: Standard, Survivor & Hunter for $99, $119 & $139 respectively. For more info on editions, see here.
