Nintendo & Team Ninja Reveal Metroid: Other M
Wii
3rd June 2009, 3:45am

Okay, Nick. Focus. Focus.
So, imagine you're Nintendo. Retro Studios has just finished up the great Metroid Prime trilogy. Where do you go from there? That studio is working on something new. You could go the Metroid Dread route, and do another 2D handheld game for the DS.
Or you could collaborate with Team Ninja of Ninja Gaiden fame and create a third and first-person melee action adventure space odyssey epic future world saga and completely blow my FREAKING MIND.
I promise you, dear Sliced Gaming reader, that I will find you the highest quality trailer for Metroid: Other M that I possibly can.
UPDATE: And I've got it.
Reader Comments:
ffs, stop whoring metroid nintendo
you have other ip you can make a game on! kid icarus for one!
By the time this game comes out there will not have been a Metroid title for three years. That's hardly whoring.
And we know Factor 5 were working on Kid Icarus for a pitch to Nintendo. They've collapsed so clearly theirs wasn't picked up, but we know someone's working on it.
*cough* Retro Studios *cough*
Team Ninja make great action games that are also hard as balls and super quick. Hopefully Itagaki's departure won't affect the quality of their work.

I'll miss the Prime series, this looks pretty action packed though so bring it on. Interesting how its a mix of FP and TP action - mostly third though.
