Nintendo Australia Confirms Just Two 3DS Launch Titles

Nintendo Australia has confirmed the 3DS's launch titles: Nintendogs + cats and Super Street Fighter IV. Pilotwings Resort and Steel Diver will be released later, and there's no word on the Ocarina of Time 3D port. 3DS games have a recommended price of AUD$69.95 each.
Nintendo of America has confirmed Pilotwings and Steel Diver as launch titles for the NTSC region, and that Zelda, Star Fox, Kid Icarus and a new Mario Kart would be launching this year. Is it ominous that Nintendo Australia doesn't mention any of them? The Australian release does mention a slew of third party games 'coming soon to 3DS', including Resident Evil, Splinter Cell and more.
Is it just me, or is it a little odd that the press release only goes on the record to confirm two titles for launch? Are they just hedging their bets in case third parties want to delay a game's release a week or two beyond launch, or are these genuinely the only two products that will be on shelves from day one? We can expect to hear confirmation from other distributors as to what they'll be offering on launch in the coming weeks, so stay tuned.
