Nintendo Buys 2.6% Of Bandai

Nintendo has recently purchased 2.6 percent of the company Bandai. Bandai is currently selling at 26 dollars per share. It's rumored that Nintendo is looking at purchasing Bandai outright, but both parties are denying it. Bandai Entertainment Inc. is the premier distributor of Japanese animation home video in North America. They have distributed such notable titles like the "Mobile Suit Gundam" series, "Escaflowne", "Cowboy Bebop", and "The Big O". Bandai is a subsidiary of Bandai America Incorporated, who makes the toys for the hit television series, Power Rangers and Digimon. Bandai focuses on home video distribution and licensing. All U.S. operations are headquartered in a large, ultra-modern facility in Cypress, Calif. Bandai is the third largest toy company in the world comprising 53 subsidiaries in 18 countries. In addition to toys and children's entertainment, Bandai Co.'s global interests include video game software, multimedia, music and full-length feature films, vending machines, trading cards, candies, and licensed apparel.
