Nintendo DS Selling like Hotcakes! - NDS

In North America and Japan, the Nintendo DS has been a huge hit, racking up gigantic retail sales. Each country has sold over 1 million units in less than a month, with Nintendo revising shipment figures that will see a total of 2.8 million DS units shipped by the end of the year.

To help ease pressure on retailers, Nintendo of Canada has revealed in a press release that they will be air freighting another 12 000 systems to retailers. They will be available to shoppers before Christmas.

As always, there is still no clear release date for the Nintendo DS here, but expect a Q1 2005 release.
