Nintendo Australia today revealed that the DSi, the latest upgrade to the DS platform, sold over 30,000 units from its release on April 2nd through to April 12th, according to figures from independent research body GfK. Together with the DS Lite and Phat (released in 2006 and 2005, respectively), the platform can claim an Australian install base of over 1.9 million units. The system has been the number one selling console since 2006.

Don't forget to log online if you've picked up a DSi recently - you'll automatically get 1,000 free Nintendo Points with which you can download two applications off DSiWare.

I've still got all my free points. There's nothing worth buying on the damn thing.

I don't really find myself gettin bored enough to invest in something like this. If I go to Melb, I drive - if I ever take the train, I read. I just don't find myself sitting around thinking "I wish I had a DSi".
