Nintendo Off to Court
Wii
12th December 2006, 8:37am

Nintendo of America is in the limelight at the moment, with the announcement that a little known California tech company "Interlink Electronics" is suing the company because it infringes on certain patents concerning the Wii Remote Controller.
The lawsuit apparently concerns the trigger function which is found on both devices, rather than the motion-sensing capabilities. Interlink is claiming a "loss of royalties, reduced sales and/or lost profits" with requests for "a restraining order, payment of damages and legal costs, and a jury trial".
Nintendo has offered no comment at this time.
